The National Athletic Trainers' Association is the national professional organization for certified athletic trainers and others who support athletic training.

The Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers is the only accredited certifying body for Athletic Trainers in the United States and sets the standards for athletic training practice. Individuals must pass a test administerd by the BOC in order to become a certified athletic trainer.
