Charlotte Davis is a former educator in the Kansas City Kansas Public Schools, working for the district 38 years. In the Kansas City Kansas School Public School District she served as an elementary and secondary physical education teacher, high school physical education teacher and coach, high school activities coordinator, high school assistant principal and athletic director, and the director of district athletic programs.
Ms. Davis is a graduate of Wyandotte High School. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health and Physical Education from Emporia State University, a Master's Degree in Health and Physical Education from the University of Kansas and Secondary Administrative Certification from the University of Kansas.
During Ms. Davis tenure in the Kansas City Kansas Public Schools, she has received many awards - WIN for KC Mentor of the Year, the Kansas Intershcolastic Athletic Aministrators Association (KIAAA) Athletic Director of the year, the National Interscholastic Athletic Admnistrators Association (NIAAA) State Award of Merit, the National Federasation of State High Schools Citation, and the Kansas McDonald's Assistant Principal of the Year. Ms. Davis also served as the 1st female President of the Kansas Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association in 2002.
Ms. Davis is currently retired from the Kansas City Kansas Public School District and is involved with many community, church and service organizations. She also enjoys spending time at her condo in Branson, MO., attending sports events, and officiating middle school and high school volleyball. |
